Dr. Ralph Cozart was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina, where he completed his primary and secondary education. He graduated from the College of Charleston in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 1991. Following his medical degree, Dr. Cozart completed an internship in General Surgery at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama, and then finished a General Surgery residency at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. He completed his Plastic Surgery residency at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, a division of the University of Tennessee, Memphis.

Dr. Cozart has been in private practice in Myrtle Beach since 1998. Throughout his career, he has performed thousands of surgical procedures, including breast augmentation, breast lifts, breast reductions, breast reconstructions, liposuction, body contouring, and various facial reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. In addition to cosmetic surgery, Dr. Cozart is skilled in reconstructive procedures on all areas of the body.

Dr. Cozart is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the South Carolina Society of Plastic Surgery. He has been certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc. since 1999, maintaining his certification through continuous education and recertification examinations, the latest of which he completed in 2019. This rigorous recertification process, required every ten years, ensures that Dr. Cozart meets the highest standards of excellence in the practice of Plastic Surgery.
